A Model For ROI Communications Success

After twenty-five years in this game, I've crafted a strategic model that’s garnered ROI success every time.  In future blog posts, I'll dial down on each of these three components below to reveal how they've helped me broaden client’s influence in today's digital landscape.


Apply these three simple tenets into any communications strategy, be it marketing, public relations, or social media and you'll see results in no time:


1)  Work at the subatomic level. You've heard of working at the atomic level. Go deeper. Go deep down and utilize both primary (new) and secondary (pre-existing) research methods to identify target audiences and media outlets.  Build a "DNA action" plan with clear cut branding goals and stakeholder-specific building blocks.




2)  Employ just-in-time delivery strategies. Remember, you can’t say it all at once.  People internalize only a small portion of information conveyed.  The right message at the right time to the right audience is the key here.  Building brands takes time with well-constructed time-lines.




3)  Utilize the “live” experience. From engaging marketing events to sponsored live entertainment.  Creating live memorable moments fortifies any communications plan, big or small.
